Our History

Community Hospital of Anaconda (CHA) has been serving the healthcare needs of Anaconda-Deer Lodge County (ADLC) since 1889. The hospital is a privately owned, non-profit, twenty-five bed critical access facility built in 1981. CHA offers a full continuum of care including inpatient/outpatient hospital services, physical, occupational and speech therapy, advanced imaging, oncology/hematology, urology, neurosurgery, general surgery, orthopedics, rheumatology, endocrinology, obstetrics, family medicine, long-term care, and Hospice/Home Health services.

In addition, CHA offers a full range of visiting specialists, alleviating the need for members of our community to travel outside Anaconda for specialized services. Located in Southwest Montana, CHA has a medical staff of over 60 physicians and 400 employees that support the healthcare needs of our region.
